1. OWN your Domain! As I have explained to every artists i have come in contact with it is time to OWN your own ish people! A developer can still develop your website. The person that controls your domain controls (legally) a piece of your digital property.In other words he or she that controls the domain controls your name in front of billions. There are plenty of options to buy your domain and then you can "point" your domain to your developers server where they are building the site.

2. Build and make Your website the center of EVERYTHING you do online.  Remember how hot MySpace WAS? Social Media though here to stay if you do not have a well optimized site your in trouble!

3. Less GLAM more content. Too much flash (which search engines DO NOT like. Do you want to look pretty or do you want to make sales? When people come to your site they are there for 3 reasons. 1. Hear your music 2. Buy your music 3.Find out the latest news about you. If you can't help with what they need NOW NOW NOW (remember the era we live n) then your in trouble.

There are sites that don't even LOOK like blogs cause there are so many templates out there.

4. For the love of GOD PLEASE start email marketing yourselves the RIGHT way. That means you DO NOT add people to your mailing list unless they ask for it. And if you IGNORE it people will continue to erase your emails or mark them spam without you ever knowing.

5. Don't Market your self ONLINE like you Would Market yourself OFFLINE: If you treat the web like it is an extension of the music business you will lose just like the recording industry has in the las. The internet is a totally different BEAST.
